Visualization Lab
Uganda's only GPU-backed 3D visualisation and Virtual Reality facility, supporting immersive learning, medical diagnostics, biomedical visualisation, and 3D-conferencing — fully integrated with the ACE HPC environment.
The ACE Visualization Lab is the only facility of its kind in Uganda. It is equipped with GPU-backed workstations directly connected to the ACE HPC cluster, allowing researchers to render and interact with large computational datasets in real time.
The lab supports a range of cutting-edge applications: from immersive virtual reality environments used in medical education to 3D conferencing that bridges geographically distributed research teams. Its tight integration with the HPC environment means that visualisation work benefits directly from the cluster's computational power — no data movement bottleneck.
The facility is available to ACE students, researchers, and external collaborators on a scheduled basis.
