Gloria Nakabiri

Gloria Nakabiri is a bioinformatician with a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Makerere University’s African Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Data-Intensive Sciences (ACE). She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Technology from Makerere University. Her interests lie in Cancer Genomics and Genomic Data Science, with broader research interests spanning human genomics, single-cell analysis, immunoinformatics, structural biology, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. She is passionate about leveraging computational and data-driven approaches to advance our understanding of cancer biology and improve precision medicine. Previously, Gloria served as an intern in the She Data Science (SHEDS) program at the Infectious Diseases Institute, aimed at strengthening bioinformatics and data science capacity among women in Uganda. Her long-term goal is to bridge the gap between genomics research and clinical practice by translating genomic discoveries into actionable insights that improve cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes.
