Mutegeki Henry

Henry contributes to software development and data science arm of the ACE where his work seeks to apply technology to improve healthcare outcomes. He is actively building research data infrastructure, serving as data manager on the CAMO-Net Global Data Resource(GDR) project, an initiative that seeks to create a central repository for secure PK/PD data curation, analysis/modelling. He is contributing to the Sickle Cell Pan-African Database (SPARCO), a comprehensive registry improving healthcare for sickle cell patients in Uganda. He also provides support to ACE students and researchers working on the High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster, alongside its configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. Beyond infrastructure, he is actively involved in data science projects aimed at improving healthcare outcomes, including the DARING, which predicts length of hospital stay and mortality risk among patients with Antimicrobial resistance. Henry holds a MSc in Computer Science (Hons, 2026, funded by Google DeepMind) and BSc. in Software Engineering from Makerere University (Hons, 2022). His master's research focused on Explainable AI for multidrug resistance prediction in UTI patients with broader research interests in AI for Health, Explainable AI, and AI Fairness.
